Maybe try a Max HR test to get that number with some confidence, and then calculate your zones based on that #. My max has decreased over the past few years (37m). Set your HR zones for cycling. Make sure to set max and resting HR. You can set the Intensity Minutes config in device settings. Resting heart rate is usually considered the lowest your heart rate will go while awake. Typically, this is waking before getting out of bed, but not necessarily. For example, I work out hard in the evening, and if my workout is hard enough, my waking heart rate (and even sleeping heart rate) will be higher than my heart rate right before lunch.
Here's the latest list of Garmin watches that support Connect IQ faces: Garmin Approach S60; Garmin Approach S62; Garmin D2 Series; Garmin Descent Series; Garmin Epix (Gen 2) Garmin Enduro; Garmin
If your waveform of the heart changes (the red diagram in the Garmin Connect App) is not sinus like (like the blue respiratory phase), it could also depend on the poor heart rate quality of the watch. When I use a chest strap for HRM the results are by far better. But be aware of chest strap that switch off if you don't move, like the Garmin HRMs.
Sure, I even stumbled upon a Garmin explanation and there is one more requirement - your heart rate should hit 70% of your max heart rate. I do not know if it is crucial but all my workouts were contributing to training load. They do not say it explicitly but it does change training effect and training status as well. well, it should. The Heart Rate, Body Battery, Stress Level and Respiration are not showing in Garmin Connect App anymore. 4551204 5 months ago HRV and all others like sleep, calories, steps etc. are working. I have the same issue with my Instinct and the Connect app. When I look at my activity, I see the first "tab" with the three circles (although the avg respiration is blank), and the second "tab" shows detailed information in a text format. But the third "tab" that normally shows heart rate info, and a graph, is blank.
Is there a way of resetting my heart rate status as my training is showing strained. It’s not changed with gentle exercise. My pre operation HR was around 40 now it’s 52 minimum as my base heart rate has been elevated artificially by a pacemaker.
Connect your Garmin Connect device with the iFIT app and then disconnect it by going to the Connected Apps menu. Then, from the drop-down menu, choose either TCX or CSV for exporting. To upload the file, simply select it from Garmin Connect’s web service and then download it to your computer.

I have recently purchased a garmin swim 2 which I'm using with the android garmin connect app. I seem to have the heart rate zones set up ok, I'm 49 and when I check the garmin connect app I can see the heart rate zones are based on "% of max". Max Heart rate: 171 100%. Zone 1: 86 BPM 50% to 103 BPM 60%. Zone 2: 103 BPM 60% to 120 BPM 70% I have a forerunner 55 and everything on the watch iteself is working fine (including the heart rate graph). I sync my watch to my app and it says sync successfull (verified from device sync audit also) and all my data like my runs are getting synced but my heart rate graph is not syncing for some reason .

hophoff. • 2 yr. ago. check Strava settings in the app, data permissions, health related data must be set to access allowed. LoganXC-TF. OP • 2 yr. ago. Got it, I just found the setting and it’s turned on, I’ll see if it works after practice tomorrow. DiamondForce2. • 2 yr. ago.

I've noticed, that the HR measurements are sometimes completely wrong, see also below. It's showing an average of 56 or 59, but I know that is wrong. My bicycle ergometer was showing HR of 70-80 (I am doing very mild traning these days). I was using "other" activity. It's not happening always, I had occasions, where the HR appeared to be correct. kfzp.
